Free Bitcoin Tools
These tools are built to help you understand Bitcoin, not to predict it. Each one runs in your browser, needs no account and sends nothing to a server. None of them uses live prices or makes forecasts, so they do not go out of date when markets move.
The tools
- Halving and supply explorer: see the block reward and how many bitcoin exist for any year or block height, with every halving in one table. It pairs with Inside a Bitcoin Mining Operation.
- ETF fee-cost calculator: see how an annual fund fee compounds over time and compare two fees side by side. It pairs with Bitcoin ETFs: What They Are and What They Mean for Investors.
- Bitcoin route finder: answer up to two questions to find the guides on Bitcoin ETFs, retirement accounts or holding your own coins. It pairs with Can You Buy Bitcoin in an IRA?.
How the tools are built
Protocol facts, such as the halving schedule, come straight from Bitcoin’s rules. Anything that depends on your situation, such as a fee or a return, is a number you enter yourself. Each tool explains its assumptions on its own page, and the results are illustrations, not forecasts or advice. The calculations behind the halving explorer and the fee calculator are covered by automated tests.

Frequently asked questions
Are the Banking on Bitcoin tools free?
Yes. The tools are free, need no account and have no sign-up. They run in your web browser, so the numbers you enter are not sent to us.
Do the tools use live Bitcoin prices?
No. The halving explorer follows the fixed protocol schedule, and the fee calculator uses numbers you enter yourself. Avoiding live prices keeps the results from going stale and keeps this site from implying price forecasts.
Is the output financial advice?
No. The results are illustrations that help you understand how things work. They do not know your finances, goals or tax position, so ask a qualified professional before making decisions about your money.
